XR NIGHTCLUB IS BREAKING THE 4TH WALL OF THE METAVERSE
[Dallas, Texas] The world’s first nightclub dedicated to providing live XR programming year round is breaking the fourth wall of the metaverse in the historic music district of Deep Ellum, Texas.
On Dec 31st, PepperCastXR is ringing in the New Year with a launch party for a two year residency with CLUB KAIJU to develop a digitally activated space with monthly programming. This venue will feature regular XR interactions connecting the physical event space with multiple digital worlds, blurring the line between reality and virtual reality with experiences normally reserved for Blade Runner and Star Wars
Club Kaiju provides the perfect venue for this ambitious undertaking and is modeled after the Japanese nightclubs one would expect to see in the late night streets of Akihabara. Club Kaiju will connect performers and partygoers with virtual event venues to party alongside patrons in the metaverse using a variety of installations from LED walls, projection illusions, VR cafe styled ‘dips’, and led-driven holograms. DJ’s, dancers and clubbers alike will share multiple blended stages using true telepresence in a blend of AR, VR and MR installations.
Launching in tandem with Club Kaiju, PepperCastXR Studio will be opening a 24/7 Virtual Studio with a suite of digital solutions, developing the world’s first “XR Backline” for visiting DJ’s and promoters. Drawing on the last year of development producing portal events onsite at RBC, Dallas, Club Kaiju will feature an event in late January where every performer in the venue will participate virtually. Holograms of virtual DJ’s and dancers will light up the space while club patrons enjoy real-time exchanges with virtual performers. Wave to the DJ and they’ll wave back, start a dance battle with one of the holo-dancers, or share a drink with a group of people “cheers”-ing you and your friends from a virtual portal wall!
Throughout the year, Club Kaiju plans to implement multiple XR installations allowing for a fully blended venue, expanding the venue capacity fivefold for virtual attendees, implementing AR passthrough for attendees to see elements of the virtual world, offer backstage tours in full VR for guests, and enhance the immersion for guests in both the real and virtual worlds alike with development of ongoing projects. The best news is that for attendees in VR, the cost for admission is and will always be FREE.
An important focus of this venue is to remove barriers of entry to emerging technology and provide guests with a “crypto-free” experience with the metaverse. Attendees can look forward to a futuristic experience without the complexity of blockchain or crypto marketing.
